This project is a typical industrial heritage renewal and transformation project under the background of stock development. In July 2023, the team was invited by the Urban Management Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Bureau of Jingjing Mining Area, and jointly with Beijing Zhonghe Sports Consulting Co., Ltd., embarked on planning consultation, stock analysis, industry injection, and other dimensions, forming a practical planning and architectural design integration design scheme. The original results were proposed in terms of project investment estimation, architectural design effects, future operation management, green low-carbon pathways, and retention of industrial culture. After four months of repeated argumentation and reporting, the scheme obtained high recognition from Duan Liyong, Secretary of the Jingjing Mining Area District Committee, Guo Hewei, Deputy Secretary and District Chief, and leaders of various departments.

Background Introduction:

The Jingjing Mining Area in Shijiazhuang holds a unique historical position, having been a strategic battleground since ancient times and becoming an important strategic location for the nation due to its abundant coal resources over the past century. The area is renowned for its rich coal resources, earning the reputation of being the "best coalfield in the north" with coal seams scattered throughout and numerous mining structures. However, after the 1970s, the coal resources in the Jingjing Mining Area began to deplete. In 2011, it was listed as one of the third batch of national resource-depleted cities, and in 2018, it was included in the national comprehensive management pilot program for coal mining subsidence areas.

The Xinghuagou Ecological Park, located in the center of the mining area, bears witness to the green transformation of the "hundred-year coal capital." Since its opening in 2014, it has evolved into the "urban green ecological living room" of the Jingjing Mining Area. Originally a coal mining subsidence area, it has been transformed into a green park, leveraging its ecological advantages. In 2022, the mining area government built the Xinghuagou Sports Park on the north side of the park. The location of this project is at the crucial intersection between the sports park and the ecological park, representing an important node. It involves the revitalization and renewal of the industrial heritage of the former Xiangrui Textile Factory. This area was designated as a practical project for the people by the mining area in 2023.
